Casa Erardo is a restored farmhouse set on the softly rolling hills of Tuscany on the border with Umbria. Its panoramic position ensures a splendid view on the surrounding quiet countryside.
The building, which is divided into three apartments, is surrounded by a garden and faces an orchard with olive fruit trees. A single apartment can be let or the house can be let as a whole and sleeps 8 persons.
The swimming pool is enclosed by green fields and offers an open view over the surrounding valley which is dominated by the ancient mediaeval fortress of Pierle. Tempting walking paths offer the possibility of trekking or simply take a walk in the countryside. |

| Description: |
Casa Erardo is only 3 Km away from Mercatale di Cortona, a town that offers all kinds of services, from pharmacies to sports facilities. All the apartments are fully equipped and have been recently restructured maintaining the original features of the farmhouse. Each flat has an independent entrance and bedrooms furnished with wardrobes.
The Apartments:
Casa Erardo 1: (4+2 people):
The position of the beds can be rearranged in order to accommodate up to six people. It is an apartment above ground floor with an external loggia. The living room comprises a kitchenette (equipped with oven and freezer) and dining area with an ancient style corner fireplace; satellite tv. Bathroom with shower, double bedroom where a double sofa bed, single bed or bunk beds can be added on request. The apartment also has a twin bedroom.
Casa Erardo 2: (2+1 people):
The apartment, which is on the ground floor, originally was used as a barn. It was restructured in a very characteristic way so as to preserve its rustic features. It is made up of a living room with kitchenette (equipped with oven and freezer) and a dining room with single sofa bed; satellite tv. Bathroom with shower and double bedroom.
Casa Erardo 3: (2+1 people):
Ground floor apartment. The entrance is on the back through a garden/terrace with a pleasant view. It comprises a large rustic kitchen with ancient style corner fireplace, kitchenette (with oven and freezer) and dining room; satellite tv. Bathroom with shower, one bedroom with a double bed and a single sofa bed.
Places to Visit:
Cortona (18 Km): a very important small town located in Valdichiana, with numerous traces and works dating back to the Etruscan age which thrived in this area.
Assisi (60 Km): one of the most important Italian religious centres, Saint Francis' birth place.
Lake Trasimeno (12 Km): the largest lake in Central Italy, characterised by three islands that can be reached by ferry, with well equipped beaches. The lake is very famous for the battles between Carthaginians and the Romans.
Perugia (45 Km), Florence (120 Km), Siena (80 Km).

| How many Sterling to a Euro |
|
All holiday home prices are in € per week for the number of people stated in bold unless otherwise stated in € per day. The second number illustrated next to the number of persons who can stay represents the number of additional persons the property can cater for. Sofa beds are provided for additional persons unless it is otherwise stated that additional beds can be made available.
Accommodation weeks usually run from Saturday to Saturday and include linen, water, electricity, and gas unless otherwise stated. The heating costs and housekeeping fees are paid directly to the landlord and are dependent on usage. **Please be aware heating costs are expensive in Italy**.
Almost all landlords require a security deposit between 100 € and 250 € and for some of the more exclusive properties the deposit can be as much as 1000 €. The full balance of the deposit will be returned at the end of stay provided that the property is in the same condition and that are no damaged or broken items. All linens should be returned in the same number and unsoiled on departure. Terre Vitae reserve the right to request the balance due for any items that have been damaged and that have not been disclosed to the caretaker as a part of the contract signed prior to departure.
Please note that note that welcome packs are not provided by the owners on arrival and that some properties do not provide wine glasses.
