Description:
Nowadays Il Convento is preserved by the Ministry of the Artistic and Cultural Heritage and includes the former church of the old convent. Il Convento is situated on the southern side of the Trasimeno lake from which one can enjoy a beautiful view of the lake and the surrounding mountains. Towards the end of the summer of 2004, the restoration works of the whole complex were finished.

Extensive lawns surround the buildings and lead down to the larger than average swimming pool which measures approximately 9 x 16 meters and is surrounded by a terracotta terrace, where you can swim, read or just relax. The garden is excellently equipped with tables, chairs and sun lounges which are positioned to enjoy the breath taking panoramic views over the surrounding rolling hills and farmlands.

Il Convento has two floors and access is made easy with the assistance of a lift. The dwellings are very comfortably furnished with antique furniture from the family estate. On the ground floor of the monastery there is a large communal room with large 13th century fireplace where you can read, sit or order brunch with a glass of one of the regional wines. A long glazed front integrates the beautiful landscapes of the surrounding area. If you are travelling in a large group then the owners of Il Convento can organise chefs and waitresses to cater for an evening meal in a perfect medieval setting.

Separate House:

Casa Capuccini is an independent cottage which has now been converted into a charming farm cottage. From the fully-furnished porch you can enjoy an extraordinary sight over the plains and up to the northern shores of the Trasimeno Lake. Casa Capuccini (90 m²) is a beautiful natural stone house belonging to the family estate. The house is well furnished with antique furniture and sleeps 4+2 Persons. There is a large living room with fire-place and kitchen. The upper floor offers two bedrooms; one has a double bed and the other a twin as well as a bathroom with Shower. The house is set approximately 150 m from Il Convento and has its own generous veranda that is accessible through large glass doors leading from the living room.

Il Convento is is wonderfully located for sightseeing in both Tuscany and Umbria, and golfers have a choice of three excellent courses all within an hours drive.
