Il Poggio is a recently restored mid 18th century farmhouse in Umbria on the border with Tuscany with panoramic views over Lake Chiusi and the tranquil rolling hills of both Umbria and Tuscany.
The house consists of three apartments with furnishings from the 18th century, typical of the area. The swimming pool (seven metres by fourteen metres) contains a hydro-massagge and a large solarium and offers a splendid panorama of Lago di Chiusi. .
The property is just 15 minutes from the A1 autostrada and the train station at Chiusi-Chianciano Terme from which you can take a train to Rome (one hour and fifteen minutes) or Florence (one hour). |

Completely surrounded by nature, tranquillity and the marvellous view of the lake.A short distance from the house you can walk along the edge of the lake or simply enjoy the beauty of nature from the panoramic view from the pool (7 x 14 m) and terrace.
Within a 10/15 km radius of the property there are many towns offering both history and art, examples include: Città della Pieve, Chiusi (Etruscan museum and tombs, Cathedral and museum), Cetona, Mongiovino (Cathedral), Montepulciano, Pienza and the thermal towns with hot water springs: Sarteano, San Casciano dei Bagni and Chianciano Terme. Within 60 km: Ancient Cities Perugia, Siena, Arezzo, Orvieto. Within 1,30 hours: Roma, Firenze, Viterbo.
Be sure and visit cities such as Chiusi, Paciano, Cortona, Montepulciano, Montalcino (Sant´Antimo, Gregorian chants) Castiglione del Lago, Passignano del Lago, Perugia, Assisi, and Orvieto.
A comfortable, inexpensive train ride is all that separates you from Chiusi, Terontola, Rome, Florence or Orvieto. Buy regional goods in the village or the surrounding area. Ask for tips about restaurants, - the Umbrian cuisine is recognized as the best in Italy.

All holiday home prices are in € per week for the number of people stated in bold unless otherwise stated in € per day. The second number illustrated next to the number of persons who can stay represents the number of additional persons the property can cater for. Sofa beds are provided for additional persons unless it is otherwise stated that additional beds can be made available.
Accommodation weeks usually run from Saturday to Saturday and include linen, water, electricity, and gas unless otherwise stated. The heating costs and housekeeping fees are paid directly to the landlord and are dependent on usage. **Please be aware heating costs are expensive in Italy**.
Almost all landlords require a security deposit between 100 € and 250 € and for some of the more exclusive properties the deposit can be as much as 1000 €. The full balance of the deposit will be returned at the end of stay provided that the property is in the same condition and that are no damaged or broken items. All linens should be returned in the same number and unsoiled on departure. Terre Vitae reserve the right to request the balance due for any items that have been damaged and that have not been disclosed to the caretaker as a part of the contract signed prior to departure.
Please note that note that welcome packs are not provided by the owners on arrival and that some properties do not provide wine glasses.
