La Capannina is a charming converted outbuilding which is situated on a hill side in the heart of the Chianti region and is located on a 17th century working estate, 8 km from Siena.
The property has been carefully renovated and is light, airy and very spacious. La Capannina is complimented by the buildings original features such as the exposed chestnut beams and the traditional Tuscan brickwork. The living room offers an open plan design and is furnished with modern Italian furniture.
La Capannina offers 180 m2 of living space and can sleep 8 persons in total. The external building materials of the property comprise of brick and glass. The facial of the property is mainly glass and allows a natural abundance of sun light in to the house during the day time.
On the ground floor you will find a large dining area that is combined with a well equipped kitchen that boasts an oven, hob, refrigerator, dishwasher and washing machine.
As you walk down the few small steps you arrive in the living room, where a traditional fireplace and settees welcome you. As you walk out of the living room you enter the large garden terrace where your eyes feast upon the surrounding vineyards, olive groves and rolling patchwork fields. Wrought iron tables and chairs entice you to fill your glass and take refuge for a few minutes whist you gather your thoughts and enjoy this paradise like experience.
In total La Capannina has 4 bedrooms. There are 2 double bedrooms and 2 twin bedrooms. One of the double bedrooms offers and ensuite bathroom with shower and for the remainder of the guests there are 2 further bathrooms, one with shower and one with a bath.
The garden boasts a beautiful swimming pool measuring 8 x 4 metres and a wonderful view on the Tuscan landscape. The close proximity of the property to Siena means that there are many places of interest close by. You can start your holiday by exploring the beautiful local villages and if you feel the urge to explore further a field you can venture to the classical cities such as Siena, Florence, Arezzo, Volterra, San Gimignano and Colle Val d’Elsa which are all within easy reach.
The coast can be easily reached within an hour if you head south west to Grossetto where you will discover its many sandy beaches which is a wonderful day out for children and adults alike.
For the wine connoisseurs amongst you we recommend travelling to Castel Nuovo, Beradenga, Radda, Gaiole or Castellina in Chianti where you can taste the wines directly from the local cantinas.
Basic shopping is convenient at Pianella which is approximately 2 km away and there is a large supermarket which will cater for all of your needs on the outskirts of Siena which is approximately 6 km away.
The owners of the family estate produce their own olive products, red wine and Vin Santo (The famous sweet Tuscan wine of the region), these are well worth a try and should be sampled before you leave.
If you feel like a lazy day at the property there are a number of leisure activities on offer to keep you amused. The facilities include a tennis court very close to your house and the owners can organise horse riding, mountain biking, guided Chianti tours and cookery courses if you desire.
La Capannina is a truly wonderful property and is guaranteed to fulfil your holiday expectations. Early booking of this property is strongly recommended to avoid disappointment. We would advise flying to Rome, Pisa, Florence or Perugia.

All holiday home prices are in € per week for the number of people stated in bold unless otherwise stated in € per day. The second number illustrated next to the number of persons who can stay represents the number of additional persons the property can cater for. Sofa beds are provided for additional persons unless it is otherwise stated that additional beds can be made available.
Accommodation weeks usually run from Saturday to Saturday and include linen, water, electricity, and gas unless otherwise stated. The heating costs and housekeeping fees are paid directly to the landlord and are dependent on usage. **Please be aware heating costs are expensive in Italy**.
Almost all landlords require a security deposit between 100 € and 250 € and for some of the more exclusive properties the deposit can be as much as 1000 €. The full balance of the deposit will be returned at the end of stay provided that the property is in the same condition and that are no damaged or broken items. All linens should be returned in the same number and unsoiled on departure. Terre Vitae reserve the right to request the balance due for any items that have been damaged and that have not been disclosed to the caretaker as a part of the contract signed prior to departure.
