La Torre is a classical rustic country farmhouse offering 200 m² of living space and can accommodate 10 persons comfortably. The property is spacious, airy and offers an abundance of natural light during the day time. La Torre boasts an open plan design in the lounge creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
As you explore the ground floor you will discover the large kitchen/ dining area where the two rooms are divided by a traditional brick archway. The living room is comfortably furnished and boasts a traditional fireplace where you can gather round with friends and family and enjoy some of the Chianti regions exceptional wines or enjoy a book in solitude.
As you make your way to the upper floor of the house you will find 4 bedrooms; 1 double bedroom and 3 twin bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with showers and 2 bathrooms with baths. From this floor a small wooden staircase leads you to the tower of the house where the 5th bedroom lies. This bedroom is comfortably furnished with a queen size double bed and offers fantastic views of the surrounding rolling patchwork valleys and countryside.
As you venture in to the garden from the house you will be warmly greeted by a large covered terrace which is furnished with a long wooden table and chairs and is ideal for al fresco dining. As you leave the terrace and explore the garden you will be welcomed by an abundance of beautiful trees, shrubs and shaded romantic areas not to mention the 12 x 7 metre swimming pool (Please note: The pool is 2.2 metres deep and has a ladder. There is no shallow end). The guests at La Torre have exclusive use of both the garden and pool.
The close proximity of the property to Siena means that there are many places of interest close by. You can start your holiday by exploring the beautiful local villages and if you feel the urge to explore further a field you can venture to the classical cities such as Siena, Florence, Arezzo, Volterra, San Gimignano and Colle Val d’elsa which are all within easy reach.
The coast can be easily reached within an hour if you head south west to Grossetto where you will discover its many sandy beaches which is a wonderful day out for children and adults alike.
For the wine connoisseurs amongst you we recommend travelling to Castel Nuovo, Beradenga, Radda, Gaiole or Castellina in Chianti where you can taste the wines directly from the local cantinas.
Basic shopping is convenient at Pianella which is approximately 2 km away and there is a large supermarket and you can cater for all of your larger shopping needs on the outskirts of Siena which is approximately 6 km away.
The owners of the family estate produce their own olive products, red wine and Vin Santo (The famous sweet Tuscan wine of the region), these are well worth a try and should be sampled before to leave.
If you feel like a lazy day at the property there are a number of leisure activities on offer to keep you amused. The facilities include tennis courts, table football, horse riding with the owners, mountain bike hire, guided tours and cookery courses.
La Torre is a truly wonderful property and is guaranteed to fulfil your holiday expectations. We would advise flying to Rome, Pisa, Florence or Perugia.

All holiday home prices are in € per week for the number of people stated in bold unless otherwise stated in € per day. The second number illustrated next to the number of persons who can stay represents the number of additional persons the property can cater for. Sofa beds are provided for additional persons unless it is otherwise stated that additional beds can be made available.
Accommodation weeks usually run from Saturday to Saturday and include linen, water, electricity, and gas unless otherwise stated. The heating costs and housekeeping fees are paid directly to the landlord and are dependent on usage. **Please be aware heating costs are expensive in Italy**.
Almost all landlords require a security deposit between 100 € and 250 € and for some of the more exclusive properties the deposit can be as much as 1000 €. The full balance of the deposit will be returned at the end of stay provided that the property is in the same condition and that are no damaged or broken items. All linens should be returned in the same number and unsoiled on departure. Terre Vitae reserve the right to request the balance due for any items that have been damaged and that have not been disclosed to the caretaker as a part of the contract signed prior to departure.
Please note that note that welcome packs are not provided by the owners on arrival and that some properties do not provide wine glasses.
