| Description: |
Both apartments at Le Vecchie Case have been skilfully restored maintaining the traditional characteristics of the former farmhouse. The antiques, terracotta floors and the traditional chestnut beams have all been preserved providing an warming Umbrian farmhouse like atmosphere. The property has been furnished with wrought iron beds, antique wardrobes and chests of draws. The rooms are very bright and airy and are complimented by traditional canvas pictures and wrought iron lamps.
The house is surrounded by fields and woodland and as you gaze into the distance your eyes will feast on the view of Lago Trasimeno. As you wander around the garden there are plenty of places to sit and relax, play or chat depending on your mood. You will come accross a large meadow with several olive trees that provide shade from the summer heat. Each apartment has its own private space in the garden with tables, chairs and umbrellas. The grounds of the property boast a large swimming pool measuring 12 x 5 meters and there is a small fishing pond and a swing for the children. Luigi, the owner, is particularly proud of his home made pomegranate grappa, which you should be sure to try.
In the local village of Pozzuolo which is approximately 1.5 Km away there is a small bakery that you should be sure to visit. You can have a look at the huge bowls in which the dough is mixed and then take a freshly baked loaf of bread home with you. The small pizzas and Bomboloni (creme filled pastries) are also worth a try! The occupants of the village are simple, pleasant people and is very easy to start a conversation them.
Be sure and visit cities such as Chiusi, Paciano, Cortona, Montepulciano, Montalcino (Sant´Antimo, Gregorian chants) Castiglione del Lago, Passignano del Lago, Perugia, Assisi, and Orvieto.
A comfortable, inexpensive train ride is all that separates you from Chiusi, Terontola, Rome, Florence or Orvieto. Buy regional goods in the village or the surrounding area. Ask for tips about restaurants, - the Umbrian cuisine is recognized as the best in Italy.

All holiday home prices are in € per week for the number of people stated in bold unless otherwise stated in € per day. The second number illustrated next to the number of persons who can stay represents the number of additional persons the property can cater for. Sofa beds are provided for additional persons unless it is otherwise stated that additional beds can be made available.
Accommodation weeks usually run from Saturday to Saturday and include linen, water, electricity, and gas unless otherwise stated. The heating costs and housekeeping fees are paid directly to the landlord and are dependent on usage. **Please be aware heating costs are expensive in Italy**.
Almost all landlords require a security deposit between 100 € and 250 € and for some of the more exclusive properties the deposit can be as much as 1000 €. The full balance of the deposit will be returned at the end of stay provided that the property is in the same condition and that are no damaged or broken items. All linens should be returned in the same number and unsoiled on departure. Terre Vitae reserve the right to request the balance due for any items that have been damaged and that have not been disclosed to the caretaker as a part of the contract signed prior to departure.
