| Description: |
The charm of this home is that much has remained intact since the time of the Count and Contessa. Step back in time and marvel at the graceful columns that greet you in the entrance as does the beautiful pietra serena staircase that entices you upstairs. Sink back into the inviting cushions in the Gran Sala and admire its incredible frescoes and Murano chandelier. The charm continues through to the bedrooms, each furnished in its own style.
Frescoes are consistant throughout the bedrooms as well as the antique furniture, some of which still remain from the period of the Count and Countessa. Whether you decide on a suite or a room, they all have their own style and of course their own bathrooms.
On the ground floor of the villa guests have the use of a television room, another sitting room or the dining room, where you will be served breakfast and, if you desire, dinner. You will surely be inclined to spend some time in the Italian garden at the villa. The private park is about 2 hectares in size and there are many paths, private sitting areas, trees, olive groves and a vineyard.
The park was planted in 1890 and dedicated to Santa Bibbiana. Follow one of the paths and discover the fountains or the stone table, placed in the perfect position to enjoy one of the incredible sunsets over the Tuscan hills.
This large and elegant villa benefits from two keys things, a village with its shops, bar and trattoria within walking distance and a most panoramic position with fabulous views of the verdant Umbrian countryside. Enjoy the vistas of golden cereals, whispering olive groves, private vineyards and sunflowers a depth of colour so amazing that one picture just won’t say it all.
Excursions to destinations in Umbria and Tuscany are quickly reached. The information centre in Castiglione del Lago provides numerous brochures and information about the sights and events in the area.

All holiday home prices are in € per week for the number of people stated in bold unless otherwise stated in € per day. The second number illustrated next to the number of persons who can stay represents the number of additional persons the property can cater for. Sofa beds are provided for additional persons unless it is otherwise stated that additional beds can be made available.
Accommodation weeks usually run from Saturday to Saturday and include linen, water, electricity, and gas unless otherwise stated. The heating costs and housekeeping fees are paid directly to the landlord and are dependent on usage. **Please be aware heating costs are expensive in Italy**.
Almost all landlords require a security deposit between 100 € and 250 € and for some of the more exclusive properties the deposit can be as much as 1000 €. The full balance of the deposit will be returned at the end of stay provided that the property is in the same condition and that are no damaged or broken items. All linens should be returned in the same number and unsoiled on departure. Terre Vitae reserve the right to request the balance due for any items that have been damaged and that have not been disclosed to the caretaker as a part of the contract signed prior to departure.
