Agriturismo del Pino is a very beautiful and well cared for renovated property on the edge of Cantagallina in Umbria. From the garden of the beautifully restored estate you will enjoy fantastic panoramic views of the Umbrian hills, Lake Trasimeno and Lago di Chiusi. The property is typical of Umbria and is situated near to Cantagallina and Villastrada is approximately 4 km away.
Luigi, the owner, is a former pilot who decided to retire to the countryside and care for his vineyard, olive grove, orchard and, of course, his guests. The estate includes 3 holiday apartments, a cottage and private house on an adjacent peice of land.
There are many activities for parents and children alike such as table tennis, boccia and volleyball. The gardens are always wonderfully maintained and there is a great deal of space surrounding the swimming pool (5 x 13m). In one area of the garden a table tennis table and volleyball court are provided for children and if you are feeling energetic mountain bikes are provided.
Luigi has fishing facilities available to all which are situated 500 meters from the house.
There is a barbecue and a shaded area that is available for use by all guests to escape from the hot summer afternoons.
The apartments have all been renovated to an excellent standard and all include central heating and well equipped kitchens. In all of the apartments you will notice the typical Italian characteristics of farmhouses in the region, such as chestnut beams, terracotta floors and wonderfully preserved arches.
There are countless attractions nearby, such as Citta della Pieve; with its floral art shows and the flower-lined streets in May. Here you can buy excellent but cheap olive oil or take boat trips to the islands where along the way you will enjoy excellent views of Castiglione del Lago, or buy excellent wines in Montepulciano, visit Etruscan graves in Chiusi or go shopping in Perugia, Deruta and Florence, just to name a few.
Castiglione del Lago will act as your main shopping centre and is one of the most beautiful medieval towns by the lake. City gates and walls dating back to the middle ages surround the picturesque old town, which includes a piazza, a fountain, and a castle. There are many restaurants to choose from and the town's exquisite shops have much to offer. There are many smaller shops, selling typical products from the region and 3 large supermarkets. There are excellent transport links from the train station where there are regular services to the main towns and cities of Italy.
Excursions to destinations in Umbria and the Tuscany are quickly reached. The information centre in Castiglione del Lago provides numerous brochures and information about the sights and events in the area.
Be sure and visit cities such as Chiusi, Paciano, Cortona, Montepulciano, Montalcino (Sant´Antimo, Gregorian chants) Castiglione del Lago, Passignano del Lago, Perugia, Assisi, and Orvieto.
A comfortable, inexpensive train ride is all that separates you from Chiusi, Terontola, Rome, Florence or Orvieto. Buy regional goods in the village or the surrounding area. Ask for tips about restaurants, - the Umbrian cuisine is recognized as the best in Italy.

All holiday home prices are in € per week for the number of people stated in bold unless otherwise stated in € per day. The second number illustrated next to the number of persons who can stay represents the number of additional persons the property can cater for. Sofa beds are provided for additional persons unless it is otherwise stated that additional beds can be made available.
Accommodation weeks usually run from Saturday to Saturday and include linen, water, electricity, and gas unless otherwise stated. The heating costs and housekeeping fees are paid directly to the landlord and are dependent on usage. **Please be aware heating costs are expensive in Italy**.
Almost all landlords require a security deposit between 100 € and 250 € and for some of the more exclusive properties the deposit can be as much as 1000 €. The full balance of the deposit will be returned at the end of stay provided that the property is in the same condition and that are no damaged or broken items. All linens should be returned in the same number and unsoiled on departure. Terre Vitae reserve the right to request the balance due for any items that have been damaged and that have not been disclosed to the caretaker as a part of the contract signed prior to departure.
Please note that note that welcome packs are not provided by the owners on arrival and that some properties do not provide wine glasses.
