Local activities in and around Cortona, Tuscany
Borgo Cortona provides a great base from where to explore the gems of southern Tuscany and Umbria. Towns such as Montepulciano, Pienza, Arezzo, Assisi and Perugia are all within a short drive. If the train is your preferred means of transport, the local station is a few kilometres away. Cortona is on your doorstep and will provide hours of entertainment, whether in its museums, the host of restaurants (nearby Il Falconiere being a top class restaurant and owned by Mario's family) or simply strolling the piazzas and backstreets. We are sure Borgo Cortona will quickly feel "home-from-home".
Borgo Cortona is wonderfully located for sightseeing in both Tuscany and Umbria, and golfers have a choice of three excellent courses all within an hours drive. Excursions to Castiglione del Lago, Orvieto, Cittΰ della Pieve, Cortona Todi, Florence, Perugia, Rome, Montepulciano, Assisi, Siena and Arezzo are all within easy reach either by train or by car.

All holiday home prices are in € per week for the number of people stated in bold unless otherwise stated in € per day. The second number illustrated next to the number of persons who can stay represents the number of additional persons the property can cater for. Sofa beds are provided for additional persons unless it is otherwise stated that additional beds can be made available.
Accommodation weeks usually run from Saturday to Saturday and include linen, water, electricity, and gas unless otherwise stated. The heating costs and housekeeping fees are paid directly to the landlord and are dependent on usage. **Please be aware heating costs are expensive in Italy**.
Almost all landlords require a security deposit between 100 € and 250 € and for some of the more exclusive properties the deposit can be as much as 1000 €. The full balance of the deposit will be returned at the end of stay provided that the property is in the same condition and that are no damaged or broken items. All linens should be returned in the same number and unsoiled on departure. Terre Vitae reserve the right to request the balance due for any items that have been damaged and that have not been disclosed to the caretaker as a part of the contract signed prior to departure.
Please note that note that welcome packs are not provided by the owners on arrival and that some properties do not provide wine glasses.
