The property has been wonderfully restored by its present owners, the buildings have maintained all of their original characteristics with chestnut beamed ceilings and terracotta floors. You will find the apartments both comfortable and airy and many of them enjoy the wonderful panoramic views across the valley to Montepulciano and Cortona. The view is excellently complimented by the vineyards, olive groves, cypress trees and fields. |

Each of the apartments is furnished with stylish furniture, gentle colours and restored antique furniture from the family estate. They owners have furnished the apartments with beautiful cabinets, tables and bureaus partly from the 18 century. On the windows hang hand embroidered linen curtains which add an extra special feel to this beautiful property.
The baths are made from ceramics and the mirrors have been sourced from Deruta complimented by beautiful pictures and designs which decorate the walls. Each apartment has its own private terraced area so you can sit and relax at this wonderful property in true tranquillity. The property has a communal washing machine which is available to all guests.
You can purchase Olive oil and wine from with the owners Rosanna and Dino. Rosanna and Dino are wonderful people and will do anything to make your stay as enjoyable as possible and will gladly allow you to help yourself in the fruit and vegetable gardens.
The small village Petrignano del Lago is approximately 3 km away. Here you will find a supermarket, a bar in which you can have pizza from the wood oven at the weekends, and a tobacconist.
Podere Luce is wonderfully located for sightseeing in both Tuscany and Umbria , and golfers have a choice of three excellent courses all within an hours drive. Excursions to Castiglione del Lago, Orvieto, Cittΰ della Pieve, Cortona Todi, Florence , Perugia , Rome , Montepulciano, Assisi , Siena and Arezzo are all within easy reach either by train or by car. We would recommend flying to Pisa , Rome or Florence . From Pisa or Rome we estimate a driving time of between 2-3 hrs and from Florence 1 hr.
Castiglione del Lago will act as your main shopping centre and is one of the most beautiful medieval towns by the lake. City gates and walls dating back to the middle ages surround the picturesque old town, which includes a piazza, a fountain, and a castle. There are many restaurants to choose from and the town's exquisite shops have much to offer. There are many smaller shops, selling typical products from the region and 3 large supermarkets. There are excellent transport links from the train station where there are regular services to the main towns and cities of Italy.
A comfortable, inexpensive train ride is all that separates you from Chiusi, Terontola, Rome, Florence or Orvieto. Buy regional goods in the village or the surrounding area. Ask for tips about restaurants, - the Umbrian cuisine is recognized as the best in Italy.

All holiday home prices are in € per week for the number of people stated in bold unless otherwise stated in € per day. The second number illustrated next to the number of persons who can stay represents the number of additional persons the property can cater for. Sofa beds are provided for additional persons unless it is otherwise stated that additional beds can be made available.
Accommodation weeks usually run from Saturday to Saturday and include linen, water, electricity, and gas unless otherwise stated. The heating costs and housekeeping fees are paid directly to the landlord and are dependent on usage. **Please be aware heating costs are expensive in Italy**.
Almost all landlords require a security deposit between 100 € and 250 € and for some of the more exclusive properties the deposit can be as much as 1000 €. The full balance of the deposit will be returned at the end of stay provided that the property is in the same condition and that are no damaged or broken items. All linens should be returned in the same number and unsoiled on departure. Terre Vitae reserve the right to request the balance due for any items that have been damaged and that have not been disclosed to the caretaker as a part of the contract signed prior to departure.
