The location of the property is in the greenest part of Umbria, close to the border of southern Tuscany, in the midst of rolling hills and gentle slopes covered with olive groves and vineyards.
Umbria ia famous all over the world for the intense yet peaceful colours of its countryside and the fact that it is surrounded by 3 lakes: Lago Trasimeno, Lago di Montepulciano and Lago di Chiusi, each only a short distance away. |

The apartments have all been lovingly restored. The sizes vary but all have their own kitchen and bathroom with shower. Some have a wood-burning fireplace. The small groups of apartments are separated from each other by well kept grounds which convey a feeling of absolute tranquillity: swimming pools, tennis court, fishing ponds, footpaths, olive groves and vineyards, fruit trees, evergreen bushes and centuries old trees and plants, all blend beautifully to create a charming picture.
The tennis courts, archery equipment, outdoor bowling alley, children’s playground, table tennis, communal area, barbeques, bicycles and mountain bikes are all available for guests to use and are free of charge and shooting enthusiasts there is a shooting range close by.
Guided tours, baby-sitting and laundry services are available on request. Cats and dogs are welcome but owners should be aware that they are not allowed in some of the communal areas.
Pozzuolo is easily reached on foot or by bicycle – has shops selling a variety of goods as well as a chemist’s, a post office and two banks.
Castiglione del Lago will act as your main shopping centre and is one of the most beautiful medieval towns by the lake. City gates and walls dating back to the middle ages surround the picturesque old town, which includes a piazza, a fountain, and a castle. There are many restaurants to choose from and the town's exquisite shops have much to offer. There are many smaller shops, selling typical products from the region and 3 large supermarkets. There are excellent transport links from the train station where there are regular services to the main towns and cities of Italy.
Excursions to destinations in Umbria and Tuscany are quickly reached. The information centre in Castiglione del Lago provides numerous brochures and information about the sights and events in the area.
Be sure and visit cities such as Chiusi, Paciano, Cortona, Montepulciano, Montalcino (Sant´Antimo, Gregorian chants) Castiglione del Lago, Passignano del Lago, Perugia, Assisi, and Orvieto.
A comfortable, inexpensive train ride is all that separates you from Chiusi, Terontola, Rome, Florence or Orvieto. Buy regional goods in the village or the surrounding area. Ask for tips about restaurants, - the Umbrian cuisine is recognized as the best in Italy.

All holiday home prices are in € per week for the number of people stated in bold unless otherwise stated in € per day. The second number illustrated next to the number of persons who can stay represents the number of additional persons the property can cater for. Sofa beds are provided for additional persons unless it is otherwise stated that additional beds can be made available.
Accommodation weeks usually run from Saturday to Saturday and include linen, water, electricity, and gas unless otherwise stated. The heating costs and housekeeping fees are paid directly to the landlord and are dependent on usage. **Please be aware heating costs are expensive in Italy**.
Almost all landlords require a security deposit between 100 € and 250 € and for some of the more exclusive properties the deposit can be as much as 1000 €. The full balance of the deposit will be returned at the end of stay provided that the property is in the same condition and that are no damaged or broken items. All linens should be returned in the same number and unsoiled on departure. Terre Vitae reserve the right to request the balance due for any items that have been damaged and that have not been disclosed to the caretaker as a part of the contract signed prior to departure.
